The Watermaid saltwater chlorinator uses a 400VA transformer, and can put out a continuous 30 amp supply to the cell. It features an automatic electronic overload suppression, and is coupled to two silicon controlled rectifiers (SCR's) rated to 65 amps. With a proven cell design that has changed only minimally since 1971, the Watermaid cell has now got a solid titanium tube cathode - 3.5 times heavier than the equivalent mesh cathode.
