A leaking pool is every pool owner's nightmare. Lo-Chlor has developed an easy way to plug minor leaks. LoChlor Leak Sealer is a compound that has been developed to help seal minor cracks and leaks in swimming pools.
Leak Sealer has a very high pH (about 12) so when you add it to your pool it takes on the pH of pool water (between 7.0 and 8.0). It now no longer functions as a liquid and starts to solidify in the presence of oxygen at the site of the leak.

How to use LoChlor Leak Sealer
- Turn the pool pump off. Remove any automatic pool cleaner from the pool.
- Set the filter toBY-PASS or RECIRCULATE setting. If neither of these settings is available, remove the spa filter grids or cartridges from the filter before commencing treatment.
- LEAK SEALER should be added to the pool at the dosage rate. There are two methods of application for leak sealer depending on the location of the leak.

Leak in the pool surface - add the LEAK SEALER directly into the pool water. Where it is possible to locate the area of the leak, then add the product in this area. Otherwise, distribute the product evenly around the pool.

Leak in pipework - add the correct dose of LEAK SEALER directly into the skimmer. Set up a pool vacuum hose (with vacuum head attached) for normal pool cleaning. Place the vacuum head at the deepest point in the pool. Ensure that the hose is free of air (This method ensures maximum circulation through the pipe work).
If unsure of the location of the leak, use method 2.
- Wait 30 minutes and then turn the pump on. Leave the pump running for a minimum of 8 hours.
- Mark the water level and check in 24 hours
- A second application may be required in larger pools
- Return the filter setting to normal once the LEAK SEALER has taken effect and resume normal filtration.
- Swimming may be resumed 24 hours after the addition of the product.
Dosage
1 Litre per 60,000 litres of pool water.
Important Notes
- Fine fountain jets may block when LEAK SEALER is applied. If these jets cannot be removed before use then do NOT use this product.
- NOT suitable for repairing leaks in vinyl liner pools
- Larger defects require proper plumbing and maintenance (where the water level drops more the 2.5cm per day in a 60,000-litre pool).
- If using an automatic pool cleaner, remove the cleaner from the pool
- Do not allow Leak Sealer to pass through the filtration system
- Do not exceed recommended dosage rate
