Pool Scout Pool Alarm
The "Pool Scout" Swimming Pool / Spa Alarm System has been designed as a safety device to detect unwanted intrusions in Swimming Pools or Spas.
This innovative Alarm System consists of a Wireless Base Station / Receiver Unit, which acts as a Wireless Signal Receiver. Also included is the "Pool Scout" Transmitting Unit, which acts as a Swimming Pool / Spa Water Surface Monitor and Wireless Signal Transmitter.
The primary purpose of this Alarm System is to detect if a neighbourhood child or pet happens to accidentally fall into your unsupervised Swimming Pools or Spas. If this occurs, the sensor system in the "Pool Scout" Transmitting Unit detects this and activates its Alarm System. When this occurs, the Wireless Remote Receiver Unit receives a signal and its Alarm System also activates.
The Wireless Base Station / Receiver Unit can be powered from Mains Power Supply using the 12V DC Power Adaptor or by a backup 9V Battery (not supplied), which offers 6 hours usage time before requiring replacement. The backup 9V Battery is only required in the event of a power failure.
The "Pool Scout" Transmitter Unit is powered by 6 “Size D” Alkaline Batteries, (not supplied)
The "Pool Scout" also offers a number of high-level functions, such as Battery Low Level Alarms and a System Operation Status Alarm which is designed to indicate if the Alarm System has failed, amongst other functions.
The "Pool Scout" Transmitter Unit is installed on the Swimming Pool or Spa Deck at a location ensuring it can detect the presence of a child or pet accidentally falling in the Swimming Pool or Spa at any location. Swimming Pool or Spa covers do not interfere with the operation of the "Pool Scout" Swimming Pool / Spa Alarm System.
It is recommended that the Wireless Base Station / Receiver Unit is only to be installed inside your house. Never install the Wireless Base Station / Receiver Unit in an outdoor shed or against the exterior wall of a house where it might be tampered with. Always ensure there are no obstacles, such as metal sheds or walls between the "line-of-sight" of the "Pool Scout" Transmitter and Wireless Base Station / Receiver Unit's, as these obstacles will interfere with the wireless operation of the "Pool Scout" Swimming Pool / Spa Alarm System.
