Black Spot Algae Treatment
Black spot algae is a common pest in backyard swimming pools. This type of algae looks like black lumps on the wall and floor of your pool and can be difficult to remove as it is particularly resistant to chlorine treatment
Tips for removing Black Spot Algae
- Regularly brush the algae with a stainless steel pool brush. This will break down the outer membrane to allow for effective treatment penetration
- For a small outbreak, apply a chlorine tablet directly to the area
- Apply glandular chlorine directly to the blackspot algae, and leave overnight.
