Lo-Chlor Enviro-Clean is an eco-friendly, water-soluble filter cleaner for sand, glass media, cartridge and DE pool filters — a versatile, concentrated formula designed to remove oils, calcium and biological deposits from pool filter media. The 1L is ideal for residential pool owners using Enviro-Clean for regular sand or cartridge filter maintenance.

Filter media accumulates oils from sunscreen and body products, calcium deposits from hard water, and biological matter over time — reducing filtration efficiency and requiring more chemicals to maintain water clarity. Enviro-Clean's highly effective formulation breaks down all three deposit types, restoring filter performance.

Pour directly into the skimmer or apply to the filter bed during the cleaning cycle. Follow with a backwash.
🔵Glass media filter▾

Eco-Clean works with glass media filters. Apply as directed, allow contact time, then backwash.
📀Cartridge filter▾
✓ Compatible — good for deep cartridge cleaning
Effective for soaking cartridge elements. Dilute in a bucket and soak cartridge for 1–2 hours before rinsing.
🌀DE (diatomaceous earth) filter▾
✓ Compatible — clean grids before recharging
Use when disassembling and cleaning DE grids. Rinse thoroughly before recharging with DE powder.

💊 How to use▾

Dosage and method varies by filter type. For sand filters, apply through the skimmer. For cartridge filters, dilute and soak.

Sand filter
500 ml
per treatment
Add to skimmer with pump running. Run for 30 minutes, then backwash thoroughly until water runs clear.
Cartridge filter
Dilute 1:10
in a bucket
Remove cartridge, soak in diluted solution for 1–2 hours, rinse thoroughly with hose. Allow to dry before reinstalling.
Cleaning frequency
Every 3–6 months
or when performance drops
Clean when filter pressure rises above normal or water clarity decreases despite proper chemical balance.

❓ FAQ▾
How often should I clean my sand filter?▾
Every 6 months under normal residential use, or more frequently if the pool gets heavy use or debris. The clearest indicator is sustained high filter pressure that doesn't resolve with backwashing alone.
Is Enviro-Clean safe for the pool water?▾
After applying and backwashing, trace amounts may enter the pool water. The eco-friendly, water-soluble formula is safe and will not affect water chemistry in normal use.
Can I use it in a salt pool?▾
Yes — Enviro-Clean is compatible with salt chlorination systems. It has no effect on salt levels or chlorinator operation.
