Lo-Chlor Anti-Crystallite is a specialised manganese complex formulation that prevents, reduces and eliminates the crystallisation that builds up in liquid chlorine dosing lines and automatic liquid chlorinator systems — keeping your dosing equipment clear and functioning correctly.
Liquid chlorine (sodium hypochlorite) forms calcium and mineral crystals over time, particularly in warm conditions and where chlorine residues dry in the dosing lines. These crystals accumulate at injection points, valves and tubing, eventually causing blockages that prevent accurate chlorine dosing. Anti-Crystallite keeps these deposits from forming in the first place.
Lo-Chlor Anti-Crystallite details
Prevents and eliminates crystallisation in liquid chlorine dosing lines
Highly effective manganese complex formulation
Suitable for domestic and commercial automatic liquid chlorinator systems
Compatible with all automatic liquid chlorinator systems
Easy and economical to use — simple ongoing dosing
Available in three sizes: 1L, 5L and 20L
Choosing your size: The 1L is ideal for residential systems. The 5L suits commercial or multi-pool properties. The 20L drum is for large commercial facilities or pool service professionals.
For overall scale prevention beyond the chlorinator — including salt cells, surfaces and pipes — combine with Lo-Chlor Stain & Scale Defence weekly. For existing calcium scale buildup, Lo-Chlor Salt Cell Cleaner Plus addresses the cell directly.
🔍 Is it right for my system?▾
Anti-Crystallite is designed specifically for liquid chlorination systems.
💧Liquid chlorine dosing systems▾
✓ Primary use — all liquid chlorinator systems
Designed for all automatic liquid chlorinator systems. Add directly to the liquid chlorine tank or dosing line as directed.
🧂Salt chlorinated▾
✗ Not for salt systems — different technology
Salt chlorinators generate chlorine electrochemically and do not use liquid chlorine dosing lines. Anti-Crystallite is not relevant for salt systems. Use Salt Cell Cleaner Plus for salt cell maintenance instead.
🏊Fibreglass▾
✓ Safe for all pool surfaces
Anti-Crystallite is diluted through the pool water and is safe for fibreglass and all other pool surfaces.
🧱Concrete / pebblecrete▾
✓ Safe for all hard surfaces
Safe for concrete, pebblecrete and tiled surfaces when diluted through pool water.
🏭Commercial systems▾
✓ Ideal for commercial chlorination
Particularly valuable for commercial facilities where liquid chlorine dosing systems run continuously and crystallisation risk is higher.
⚡Ionised / Nature2▾
✗ Not applicable — different sanitiser system
Ionised pools don't use liquid chlorine dosing lines. Anti-Crystallite is not applicable.
💊 Dosage guide▾
Add directly to the liquid chlorine tank, dosing line or storage container as directed by the system manufacturer.
Residential systems
Add to chlorine
as directed
Typically add 10–20ml of Anti-Crystallite per litre of liquid chlorine. Follow system manufacturer's guidance.
Commercial systems
Consult label
for commercial rates
Higher-volume commercial systems require proportionally higher doses. Refer to the product label for commercial dosing guidance.
Preventative dosing
Ongoing regular
addition
Add with each chlorine refill to maintain ongoing protection against crystallisation.
5L or 20L supply
Economical
for ongoing use
The 5L and 20L sizes are the most economical choice for properties needing ongoing regular dosing.
❓ FAQ▾
Why does liquid chlorine crystallise?▾
Sodium hypochlorite (liquid chlorine) reacts with calcium and minerals in the water and in the dosing equipment. When residues dry at injection points or in tubing, the calcium compounds crystallise and build up over time. This is accelerated by heat, evaporation and high calcium hardness in the pool water.
My dosing line is already blocked. Will this fix it?▾
Anti-Crystallite is primarily a preventative product. For an existing blockage, you'll need to physically clean the line first (flush with warm water and a dilute acid if needed), then start using Anti-Crystallite regularly to prevent recurrence.
Can I use it if I have a salt pool?▾
No — salt pools don't use liquid chlorine dosing lines. Anti-Crystallite is specifically for liquid chlorine automatic dosing systems. For salt pool maintenance, use Salt Cell Cleaner Plus for cell descaling instead.
