Lo-Chlor Aquaguard CSM is a triple-action pool protection formula providing Cell protection, Scale prevention and Metal sequestration in a single weekly treatment — the most comprehensive equipment and surface protection product in the Lo-Chlor range.

The three-in-one formula works simultaneously: the Cell Protector component reduces scale buildup on salt chlorinator cells, the Scale Inhibitor prevents calcium deposits on surfaces and fittings, and the Metal Sequestrant keeps dissolved metals in suspension to prevent staining. Three separate maintenance concerns addressed with one weekly dose.

Do I still need to clean my salt cell if I use Aquaguard CSM?▾
Yes — Aquaguard CSM significantly reduces scale accumulation but doesn't eliminate it entirely. Cell cleaning every 3–6 months (less frequently with Aquaguard than without) is still recommended. Use Salt Cell Cleaner Plus when cleaning is needed.
How is this different from Stain & Scale Defence?▾
Stain & Scale Defence covers scale prevention and metal sequestration. Aquaguard CSM adds the third element — dedicated Cell protection chemistry specifically for salt chlorinator cells. For salt pool owners, the Cell component makes CSM the more complete product.
Which size should I buy?▾
For most residential salt pools, the 5L provides about a year's worth of weekly treatments at 100ml per 50,000L. The 1L is a good way to trial the product. The 20L is for commercial or multi-pool properties.
