⚖️ What Elevate does▾

Low total alkalinity makes pH impossible to control. Even with correct pH adjustments, when the alkalinity buffer is inadequate the reading shifts significantly before the next test. You find yourself adjusting constantly, and the pH never stays where you put it. ILUKA Elevate raises both pH and total alkalinity, restoring the buffer that makes everything else in the water routine stable and predictable.

The target total alkalinity for an ILUKA spa is 125 to 150 ppm. Check alkalinity and pH together before any adjustment, as raising alkalinity also raises pH. Use the 3-in-1 test strips included in the In A Box kit or a standalone test kit before and after dosing.

📏 How to dose▾

Pre-dissolve in a bucket of warm water before adding to the spa.

To raise TA by 10 ppm

Dissolve in warm water and add with pump running. Retest after 4 hours.

To raise TA by 20 ppm

How do I know if my alkalinity is too low?▾

Test with the strips included in the In A Box kit or a standalone test kit. If total alkalinity reads below 125 ppm, add Elevate. If pH is also swinging between tests despite correct adjustments, low alkalinity is almost certainly the cause.

Will Elevate cloud the water?▾

Not if you pre-dissolve it first. Always dissolve in a bucket of warm water before adding to the spa. Adding granules directly can cause temporary cloudiness.

Elevate raises both pH and alkalinity. What if only pH is low?▾

Add in small amounts and retest frequently. Because it raises both, you risk pushing alkalinity above range if you add too much. For a small pH-only adjustment, add cautiously in 10g increments and retest after each dose.

How often will I need to adjust alkalinity?▾

Once established at the correct level, alkalinity is relatively stable. Check at every water change and periodically when adjusting pH. Using pH Descend frequently can lower alkalinity over time, so test both together.
