Lo-Chlor Multi Stain Remover is a triple-action granular formula that removes metallic and organic stains from all pool and spa surfaces — handling iron, copper, manganese and organic deposits in a single treatment.

Metal staining is one of the most persistent pool problems in Australian conditions — particularly where bore water, old copper plumbing or garden runoff introduces dissolved metals that chlorine then oxidises into visible deposits. Unlike single-metal treatments, Multi Stain Remover handles all major stain types plus organic stains from leaves and tannins.

Do I need to lower my chlorine before using this?▾
Yes — this is important. High free chlorine oxidises the active ingredients before they reach the stain. Allow chlorine to drop below 2 ppm naturally (or shade the pool for a day) before applying. Don't add more chlorine for at least 48 hours after treatment.
My staining came back. What's causing it?▾
Recurring staining means dissolved metals are continuously entering your pool — typically from bore water, corroding fittings, or a copper-based algaecide used at low pH. What colour staining indicates what metal?▾

Can I use this on a pool with a vinyl liner?▾
Yes — Multi Stain Remover is safe for vinyl liner pools at recommended doses. The granular formula dissolves evenly and does not bleach or damage vinyl. Ensure chlorine is below 2 ppm and brush gently — vinyl liners don't need aggressive scrubbing.
