This vacuum break valve will release the vacuum in the solar pool heating system when the pump is turned off.
It allows water to flow back to the swimming pool so it doesn't get caught in the solar collector and boil or cause unnecessary sucking in resulting in a damaged collector.
Thread diameter approx 40mm
