Lochlor Topiclear Pool Algaecide is the algaecide in its chemical range. This potent algae-killing formulation was first formulated for tropic QLD areas to kill all types of pool algae. Now, this concentrated algaecide is popular in all household pools, to quickly combat algae problems

Lochlor Tropiclear Pool Algaecide benefits:

• Should NOT be used in pools using Ionisers or Natures 2

How to use Lochlor Tropiclear Pool Algaecide

Note: start this process at a time when the pool will not be in use for a few days

• Clean the pool thoroughly, brush walls and floor, vacuum and backwash as required.
• Adjust pH to between 7.0 and 7.2 and filter as normal.
• Superchlorinate the pool (allow 48 hours before using the product).
• Add the appropriate dosage of Tropiclear pool Algaecide near the algae, do not add via the pool skimmer.
• To remove the black spot and other growths on the walls or floor of the pool, brush down the area with a stiff bristled brush.
• Allow a few days for the product to clear algae-affected pools, wait for sediment to settle and then vacuum directly to waste.
• Allow 48 hours after using the product to super chlorinate or adding any alkaline material (before and after using the product).
• Delay normal doing for 24 hours after treatment.
• Check bromine levels after applying this product and adjust if necessary

Lo-Chlor Tropical Algaecide is a combination of the organo copper complex contained in Lo-Chlor Pool Algaecide together with the proven agent, Alkyl Dimethyl Benzyl Ammonium Chloride. Both are very effective anti-algae treatments. Combined they will overcome the most resistant of algae strains.
As the compound suggests this blend contains ammonia.
When added to a pool running with a salt chlorinator the ammonia occasionally reacts with the gases produced in the salt chlorinator cell causing fine bubbles to form on the surface of the pool.
These bubbles will dissipate as soon as the chlorinator is switched off and usually only last 5-7 days.
Note: High doses of quaternary ammonium compound may combine with free chlorine, resulting in excess levels of combined chlorine. This phenomenon lasts 2 or 3 days.
The addition of Lo-Chlor Aqua-Boostis recommended if the condition persists.
