📋 How it works▾

AquaFresh Performance is the non-chlorine oxidiser component of the AquaFresh system — a weekly shock treatment that breaks down organic contaminants, restores water clarity and enhances the effectiveness of the AquaFresh non-chlorine sanitiser.

Organic matter from swimmers (body oils, sunscreen, sweat, urine) and the environment accumulates in pool water and consumes PHMB sanitiser over time, causing cloudiness and reducing sanitation effectiveness. Performance oxidises this organic load without introducing chlorine — maintaining the chlorine-free environment that makes the AquaFresh system beneficial.

Add with pump running. Do not add to skimmer. Allow 30 minutes before swimming.

❓ FAQ▾
Can I use standard chlorine shock in my AquaFresh pool?▾
No — adding chlorine to a PHMB system will cause a chemical reaction between the chlorine and PHMB, degrading both products and potentially causing water problems. Always use AquaFresh Performance for oxidation treatment in an AquaFresh system.
How is Performance different from the Sanitiser?▾
AquaFresh Sanitiser is the ongoing disinfectant — it kills bacteria and pathogens continuously. Performance is an oxidising shock — it breaks down organic contaminants that accumulate over time. Both serve different functions and are used on different schedules.
Will it work in a chlorine pool?▾
AquaFresh Performance is specifically formulated for PHMB-based systems. For non-chlorine shock in a standard chlorine pool, use Lo-Chlor Shock n Swim or AquaBoost instead.
