Lo-Chlor is Australia's most trusted specialist pool and spa chemical manufacturer globally recognised and exporting to 25+ countries. Their range covers algaecides, clarifiers, phosphate removers, stain treatments, stabilisers, spa care, equipment aids and more, every product formulated for Australian water chemistry and climate.
Lo-Chlor Spot Away is a concentrated spot-treatment formula for removing localised staining directly on pool surfaces — designed for targeted application to specific problem areas rather than whole-pool treatment.
Where whole-pool stain removers work by distributing through the water column, Spot Away is applied directly to the stained surface for concentrated, targeted action. This is particularly effective for stubborn localised deposits — rust rings around fittings, waterline staining, or isolated patch discolouration — where a whole-pool dose would be wasteful.
Lo-Chlor Spot Away details
Concentrated formula for direct surface application
Targeted treatment for localised stains — fittings, waterline, patches
Works on metal and mineral deposits
Safe for all pool surfaces at recommended doses
4kg size suitable for commercial use or pools with extensive localised staining
More economical than whole-pool treatment for small, defined problem areas
For widespread staining across pool surfaces, Lo-Chlor Multi Stain Remover is the whole-pool treatment. For ongoing prevention after spot treatment, Lo-Chlor Stain & Scale Defence weekly keeps dissolved metals in suspension and prevents new deposits forming.

❓ FAQ▾
What's the difference between Spot Away and Multi Stain Remover?▾
Multi Stain Remover is a whole-pool treatment — dissolved in water and distributed across the entire pool. Spot Away is a direct-to-surface spot treatment for targeted problem areas. For extensive staining across the whole pool, Multi Stain Remover is more efficient. For a rust ring around one fitting or a waterline patch, Spot Away is the right tool.
Can I use Spot Away on a fibreglass pool?▾
Yes — at recommended doses Spot Away is safe for fibreglass. Avoid extended contact beyond the recommended time on sensitive surfaces, and rinse the treated area after treatment.
My pool has rust rings around all the fittings. Should I use Spot Away or Multi Stain Remover?▾
If all fittings are affected and the staining is significant, Multi Stain Remover as a whole-pool treatment is more practical — you'd need a lot of Spot Away for multiple fittings. Use Spot Away for residual marks after whole-pool treatment, or for isolated problem areas where whole-pool dosing isn't justified.
