⚗️ What Spa Shock does

Your sanitiser handles bacteria and pathogens. AquaSpa Spa Shock handles everything the sanitiser cannot: body oils, cosmetic residue, sweat and the organic compounds that build up in heated water between weekly doses. Left unchecked, these cause cloudiness, surface foam and a gradual decline in sanitiser performance. A weekly Shock treatment prevents all of it.

Spa Shock is a non-chlorine oxidiser, which means it clears organic waste without introducing chlorine to the AquaSpa system. It is an essential companion to the Spa Sanitiser, not a replacement for it. The 500g suits weekly use in a standard home spa of up to roughly 2,000L.

AquaSpa Spa Shock details

  • Non-chlorine oxidiser
  • Removes body oils, cosmetics, sweat and organic residue
  • Prevents cloudiness, odour and foam build-up
  • Maintains sanitiser effectiveness between doses
  • Use weekly and after heavy bather load
  • Available in 500g, 1kg and 5kg

Dose after each spa session or at minimum weekly. Use alongside the Spa Sanitiser and Spa Kleer for consistently clear, well-balanced water.

🕐 When to dose

Spa Shock is most effective when used regularly rather than reactively. Select your situation for guidance.

📅Weekly maintenance
Dose weekly, same day as sanitiser
Add Spa Shock weekly with the pump running. You can dose on the same day as the sanitiser. Run filtration for at least 2 hours after dosing.
🎉After heavy use or a party
Dose immediately after use
High bather loads introduce far more organic compounds into the water. Dose Spa Shock after the session finishes. If water looks hazy the next day, check clarity with Spa Kleer.
☁️When water looks cloudy despite correct chemistry
Dose and check filter
Cloudiness with correct pH and sanitiser levels usually means organic build-up. Dose Spa Shock with the pump running and check your filter is clean. Instant Filter Klenz is a fast spray-on option for blocked filters.
🌊When there is surface foam
Dose Shock then check cause
Light foam after heavy use often clears with Spa Shock. Persistent foam after dosing usually means body product residue in the water. Use Anti Foam 500ml for immediate relief and run Shock to clear the source.
📏 Dosage guide

Dose with the pump running. Run filtration for at least 2 hours after treatment. Weekly use prevents organic build-up from becoming a visible problem.

❓ FAQ
Is Spa Shock a sanitiser?
No. AquaSpa Spa Sanitiser is the sanitiser. Spa Shock is an oxidiser that removes organic compounds the sanitiser cannot break down. Both are needed for clean, clear water.
Can I dose Shock and Sanitiser at the same time?
Yes. They are compatible and can be added on the same day with the pump running.
My water is cloudy after dosing Shock. Is that normal?
Some slight haze can occur as particles are broken down and collected by the filter. Run filtration continuously and it should clear within 12-24 hours.
How long before we can use the spa after dosing?
Allow at least 2 hours with the pump running before use.
